Excellent ambiance, breathtaking views, and friendly staff
the roof terrace was a standout feature and the staff members were always accommodating and helpful. the additional cost for a heater and lack of assistance with luggage up the steep stairs could be improved.

The Hosteller in Shimla was superb! The rooms were spacious and well cleaned daily, providing great value for money. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city and just steps away from the vibrant mall road.
The food for breakfast could have been better.

The hotel location, nearby restaurants and markets. AASHISH at the reception was amazing, managed the hotel well and entertained us. Reliable wifi, really good cleanliness. Comfortable facilities, great value restaurant. Excellent location with beautiful views. Staff was professional, kind, and helpful.
Can't fault the hotel in any way.

I recently stayed at The Hosteller in Shimla for a week-long vacation. The hostel's rooftop terrace offered breathtaking views and the café served mesmerizing and delicious food. The dorms were clean, cozy, and spacious with comfortable beds, lockers, and charging points. The bathrooms were well-maintained and hygienic. Leo, the hostel's adorable dog, added to the homey atmosphere. Subhojit and Mohini, the hosts, were incredibly kind and welcoming.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The room was absolutely cozy and felt like a home away from home. The tea/coffee maker and electric kettle were a great addition, allowing us to unwind with a hot cuppa. The private bathroom was clean and convenient, and the bed linen was fresh and comfortable. As a guest with children, these little touches made our stay even more enjoyable.
I'm not a big fan of the fitted bed linen. It's just a personal preference, and I can see how others might find it neat and tidy.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel has a strong emphasis on cleanliness, and the cleaning staff regularly checked in to see if we needed any room cleaning. The location of the hotel at the top of a hill provided a beautiful surrounding view. It was also conveniently close to the attractions in the city. The staff, especially Preethika and Harshit, were excellent communicators and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Preethika even took us on a city walk to introduce us to local food and interesting places.
There was nothing we didn't like.

Enjoyed the a la carte breakfast and evening entertainment at The Hosteller. The free airport shuttle was a nice touch.
So glad I didn't have to deal with any group activities or common facilities after 10 pm, who needs those anyway?

The staff was really helpful and friendly, making my stay enjoyable. the cafe offered a beautiful view, adding to the overall experience. the hotel was conveniently located close to the main shopping area.
The hotel's accessibility could be a challenge for those with mobility issues, as it required a small hike to reach. the cleanliness of the room was also a letdown, as the previous guest's bed was not properly prepared.

Enjoyed the free a la carte breakfast and the evening entertainment. The free airport shuttle service was a bonus. Loved the terrace and the helpful concierge service. Will definitely recommend.
Who needs hot water? Cold showers are so refreshing, especially in sub zero temperatures.

Nothing, all was good.

Enjoyed the breakfast options, but who eats a la carte for breakfast? The hotel has a tour desk and free airport shuttle, as if I'm going anywhere near that place again.
The staff gave me a heart attack with their poor communication and escorting system. So thoughtful of them to make me climb Everest to reach my evening bed.

Enjoyed an a la carte breakfast at the hostel - felt fancy! The free airport shuttle was a delightful surprise. The staff were great, especially the concierge who entertained us in the evenings. Cons: Elevator not working - guess I had to work off that breakfast!

It was conveniently situated near the Jakhu Temple and within walking distance to various cafes and restaurants along mall road. The front desk staff were friendly and provided helpful advice throughout my stay. the rooms were comfortable and provided a cozy atmosphere.
Although there were a few drawbacks, such as the absence of a fan in the room, a bit hot in peak summer, and an issue with the terrace cafe only accepting online orders, overall, I would highly recommend this hostel as a must-stay for travelers looking to create lasting memories and connect with fellow explorers along the way.
